Chittorgarh Fort - Victory Tower and More -
The fort has witnessed three
ferocious sieges with her defenders symbolizing the Rajputana pride by fighting
valiantly against their enemies. The fort crowns a rocky hill. It
rises 500 feet above the surrounding region and runs approximately three
kilometers. The ascent is hair-raising to say the least. The bus had
literally centimeters of clearance. The road in (and out) takes you
through zigzags interrupted at intervals by seven enormous gateways or ‘Pols’.
