Palace On Wheels

Jodhpur - The Ummaid Bhawan Palace turned hotel is a gorgeous example of hybrid 30's-Indo-colonial style. It was originally built in the spirit of a public works program to give jobs to the townspeople. During the construction of the palace a hospital for women and children was also being built. The craftsmanship and the scale of this building are impressive.
