Palace On Wheels

Jaisalmer - The Golden City or The Museum City was founded in 1156 in the heart of the Thar desert. The Bhali Rajputs levied taxes on caravans laden with silks and spices that crossed the territory to either Delhi or Sind. Traces of former opulence is seen in the amazing sandstone buildings. Inside the fort walls we explored a thriving city and amazing old Jain temples 12^th-15^{th century .}
