Marrakech Day 1 - Our neighborhood was called Kas-BAH.  On the first evening we wandered to the enormous main square, the Place Jemaa El Fna, eating doughnuts on the way.  Marrakech employs what is called 'blind architecture'.  All the houses, hotels, riads, and shops look almost identical from the street.  Once you enter in, though, you may find any amount of luxury or simplicity.  Small doorways can lead to a five-and-dime 6x12 feet in total or into enormous open air courtyards with fruit trees and lunch.
