Dordogne, France - La Roque Gageac  A beautiful boat ride along the Dordogne.  These are the only motorized boats allowed on the entire river.  They are trying and succeeding at reintroducing Atlantic salmon to spawn far up in this river.  In a few years, you'll be able to salmon fish the river again.  They only other boats are canoes and kayaks.  Pastoral.

Renaissance recyclers.
These folks used the stones from a
defunct castle to build their bridge.

Boy + Water = Contentment

See the big yellow patch on the upper left of the hill?  Less than 70 years ago that whole chunk fell off and plunged into the river, crushing 4 houses but only killing two people.  It was a Sunday, everybody was either in the church or the bar,
both located at the other end of town.

What year is this, anyway?
